Whether your child is coming for a planned stay or urgent care, this guide helps you gather what you need and understand each step — so you can focus on being there for your little one.

What to Bring

Documents to Bring

  • Date of Birth Proof

    Birth certificate, hospital discharge summary, or government ID showing your child’s date of birth.

  • Blood Group Records

    Any available blood group card or lab report — helpful for emergency and surgical planning.

  • Previous Medical Records

    Discharge summaries, prescriptions, investigation reports, and growth charts from prior hospitals or clinics.

  • Referred By (if applicable)

    Referral letter or contact details of the doctor who referred your child to Feathers Hospital.

Personal Items for Your Child

  • One or two familiar comfort items (small blanket, soft toy)
  • Extra clothes and nappies appropriate for your child’s age
  • Feeding essentials for infants (bottles, formula) if not exclusively breastfeeding
  • Any regular medications in original packaging with clear labels
  • Toiletries suitable for children
  • Parent ID and insurance documents, if applicable

Date of Birth (DOB)

We verify your child’s age for paediatric dosing, vaccination records, and developmental assessments. Please bring official proof on admission day.

Blood Group

If known, share your child’s blood group. If not yet tested, our team can arrange testing when clinically needed.

Significant History

Include past hospitalisations, surgeries, allergies, chronic conditions, and any family history relevant to your child’s current illness.

Screening Test Information

Newborn screening results, hearing tests, or other preventive screening reports help our team build a complete picture of your child’s health.

    Arrive at Reception

    Visit Feathers Hospital at Sindhubhavan Ext. Road, Shilaj. Our front desk will register your child and verify documents.

  3. 3

    Complete Admission Details

    Fill in admission information including DOB, blood group, medical history, and screening details. Our staff will assist you at every step.

  4. 4

    Clinical Assessment

    Your child will be assessed by our paediatric team. Depending on need, they may be admitted to OPD observation, ward, PICU, or NICU.

  5. 5

    Parent Orientation

    We explain visiting guidelines, what your child may experience, and how you can stay involved in their care throughout the stay.
